    Our Past

Isidore Poletti and Edward C. Graeff founders of Isimac Machine Co.

Isidore Poletti and Edward C. Graeff
    founders of Isimac Machine Co.

Isimac Machine Company was named for its founder, Isidore Poletti, a master craftsman, trained in Switzerland. Poletti’s skills, techniques and successful interpretation of drawings and specifications enabled him to move to America to work for a Swiss company which manufactured precision machined parts.

    • The plant began operations in 1964, with a 1,200 sq. ft. building in Temple, PA. From the early beginning, Edward C. Graeff, joined Mr. Poletti in the managing and developing of ISIMAC.
    • As the firm grew, the level of services was also upgraded. In 1979 a separate Quality Control and CNC Lathe Department was developed. Our CNC equipment expanded our manufacturing from prototype to larger volume, multiple piece manufacturing.
    • In 1984 a 15,000 sq. ft. facility was constructed in Blandon, Pa. to house additional equipment. One year later ISIMAC purchased its first CNC machining center to increase its manufacturing capabilities.
    • In 1986, due to the complexity of our business and the need to meet delivery times consistently, ISIMAC installed a manufacturing software package, which integrates its entire operation including scheduling, purchasing, job definition, customer control and all financials.
    • In 1989, ISIMAC added a new department to handle all deburring and finishing requirements that are needed to meet drawing specifications.

    Philosophy of Versatility

A key element for ISIMAC’s continual growth and success is its philosophy of versatility. Not only to stay abreast of ever changing technology, but also to integrate that technology to sustain its traditional value to make a high quality part at a competitive price and to deliver it on time.

    Our Present

Computer controlled equipment and the latest techniques allow for less material waste, higher precision and lower per piece costs.

    Our Attention to Detail

An assortment of Swiss manual equipment from toolmakers and engine lathes, miniature bench lathes and universal milling machines are available. Primarily prototype, small lot production and tooling are performed on this type of equipment. However, depending upon the type of material being machined and the geometry of the part, even production machining is completed with this equipment because of the excellent “feel” these tools give the operator.

Our Goal at ISIMAC is continual improvement and education to better service our customers. We hope to provide exceptionally manufactured piece parts from customer design to a finished quality product, all within budget and within an acceptable time frame.

Our latest 38,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility built in 2001 shown below. We have also invested in the latest equipment to serve you better both now and in the future.

Learning from the past while looking toward the future

From the time the doors first opened in 1964, Isimac Machine has shown steady growth. This continual growth can be seen not only by sales but also from increased manufacturing floor space. To keep up with the need for more floor space, we added two additions on our original facility, then built a new facility in 1985. We occupied the facility until 1999, at which time we designed and built our current home.

This doubled our size plus allowed us to have all our employees under one roof. This facility helped streamline our processes and expedite our customer orders so deliveries can be made on time all the time.

Isimac is now passivating in-house which reduces lead times

A complete and up-to-date list of services.

In the future we hope to add more services to keep pace with our customers ever changing needs. We hope to continue offering excellent customer service and quality products for the next 50 years. In essence, providing the parts TODAY to drive the technology of TOMORROW.
